Events: Chocolate Ball

Our Signature Event

The Arc of Howard County’s signature event is the annual Chocolate Ball, which we celebrate its 14th anniversary in March 2011.

The Chocolate Ball includes a silent auction and raffle for luxurious prizes, as well as dinner, dancing and entertainment by Oracle. And, of course, extravagant desserts created by the area’s best chefs and caterers, including Food Networks' Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes. A People’s Choice award is presented to the most popular chocolate confection, with the 2010 award going to Howard Community College.

Proceeds from the Chocolate Ball benefit The Arc of Howard County’s vocational and residential support and services, respite care, and other programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The first slideshow below shows photos from the evening while the second shows all of the specialty cakes designed by seven wonderful bakeries in the region. During the Chocolate Ball, guests voted Howard Community College as their favorite, but lets see what YOU think. Just below the slideshow, choose your favorite... our online poll will be ongoing through the end of March.
